Description: This is more than a group. This is a movement! The field of Speech-Language Pathology is largely misunderstood. This leads, ironically, to miscommunication between professionals and the public about the services we provide. This miscommunication is ultimately a detriment to the public - as many may miss opportunities to have an SLP make maximal impact on their lives because they don't understand what we can diagnose and treat. While most of us have heard SLPs in all sectors complain about misperceptions about our field, few are raising their hands to explain how they themselves are becoming a catalyst to change this.
